It is a great honor for me to receive this Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women's International Film & Television Showcase, it only saddens me that my husband, Tony Blanco, cannot be with me to share this moment, as he would be as honored and proud as I am.
I congratulate you on the beautiful initiative to support and celebrate the dedication, passion and integrity of women in film everywhere, and I thank TheWIFTS Board for considering me worthy of this precious award. I am very sorry to be unable to receive it in person. Thank you!

For her debut performance in the French comedy-drama film La Famille Bélier
playing Paula, the only member of a deaf family who speaks, a role in which
she adeptly demonstrates she is destined to be a star, Louane Emera is the
recipient of TheWIFTS "IT" Award 2015.
Louane Emera got her break into show business in 2013, taking part in the
second season of the French version of The Voice in March 2013. All
semi-finalists and finalists, including Louane, took part in an after-season
tour throughout France.
After her appearance in The Voice, Eric Lartigau cast her in the French
comedy-drama La Famille Belier in which she plays the role of Paula, a
16-year-old teenager who is the only hearing person in a family of deaf
people. The film was huge success in France, the second highest grossing
film in 2014, and opens in Australia on December 25th.
Louane Emera won the 2015 Cesar Award for Most Promising Actress at the
40th Cesar's, the French equivalent of the Oscars. Her popularity as a singer
saw her release Chambre 12, her first solo album, in March 2015 to
phenomenal success. Avenir, her single, also topped the French charts in March.
Nos Secrets, her latest single, was released in September 2015.
