NAVAJO FILMMAKER VELMA KEE CRAIG HONORED BY TheWIFTS FOUNDATION

Velma Kee Craig will be honored at TheWIFTS Foundation 2012 Visionary Awards for her short film 'Interview with Einstein' which premiered at the SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market NMAI Native Cinema Showcase, a festival which celebrates the creative work of indigenous cultures. Ms. Craig is the co-founder of White Springs Creative and a graduate of Arizona State University. She has produced film scripts, short stories, poetry and a video magazine about Native American Artists. In 2005, she was co-editor of 'Home', a project completed for the Heard Museum, a Native American Museum in Phoenix Arizona. The documentary features members of a variety of tribes including White Mountain Apache , Tohono O'odham, Acoma Pueblo and Pasqua-Yaqui who speak of what their land and the concept of home means to them.

'Interview With Einstein' is a heartwarming and delightful comedy in which a family take on the roles of a film crew to record an in depth interview with their pragmatic and talking family dog named Einstein.
